Keravive™ Scalp Treatment

HydraFacial Technology and Keravive™ Peptide Complex Solution cleanse, exfoliates, stimulates, and delivers a proprietary blend of growth factors and skin proteins to hydrate, nourish and stimulate the scalp specifically.

Just like HydraFacial is ideal for anyone with skin, HydraFacial Keravive™ is ideal for anyone with a scalp! Any patient interested in improving the overall health of their scalp and hair, and/ or seeks treatment for hair thinning or hair loss, can benefit from a HydraFacial Keravive™ Scalp Health treatment.

HydraFacial Keravive™ is designed to help remove impurities and reinvigorate your scalp to help address hair and scalp concerns such as dry, damaged, or thinning hair, clogged hair follicles and dry scalp.

For best results, it is recommended that patients have the HydraFacial Keravive™ in-office treatment once a month for three consecutive months, along with continued use of the at-home spray. A maintenance in-office treatment every 1-3 months is also encouraged.

Before the treatment

For best results we recommend patients come to the treatment with clean, dry hair without styling products.

During the treatment

The treatment takes approximately 30 minutes. The treatment is pain-free, gentle and relaxing. You will feel some suction on your scalp and a cooling sensation from the solutions that are administered during the treatment.

After the treatment

Your scalp/hair should be dry 15-20 minutes after the end of the treatment. Patients should allow the scalp and hair to fully absorb the solution and spray before applying heat. It is recommended that patients do not use a hairdryer within an hour of receiving the treatment or applying the spray. You can use hair styling products as soon as the product is absorbed, and your hair/scalp has dried. Lastly, after treatment, it is recommended that you wait at least 6-12 hours before washing your hair.

How to use the take-home HydraFacial

Keravive™ Scalp Health Spray
Following the in-office treatment, use the HydraFacial Keravive™ take-home spray daily beginning the day following your in-office treatment. Apply 1-2 sprays per area of concern once a day by placing nozzle directly on the scalp while spraying. After spraying, massage solution into scalp for 30-60 seconds. For best results, apply in the evening and allow the solution to remain on the scalp overnight.

HydraFacial Keravive™ does not require downtime nor recovery. After your treatment, you can continue your normal daily activities. This treatment is suitable for all skin types, is rejuvenating, gentle, non-invasive, and effective.

Keravive™ indications include Scalp flaking, itchiness, dryness, or irritation. Hair thinning or loss due to hormonal, environmental, or physiological factors such as stress Preparing for a hair transplant or undergoing hair loss treatments such as Rogaine, Propecia, PRP, or Laser Therapy.

Some patients may experience minimal hair shedding as the vellus (non-growing hairs) are uprooted and fall out. These hairs would have fallen out on their own, regardless of having the treatment. Vellus hair shedding is a sign that the scalp is entering a healthier state.

Prior to treatment all potential risks and side effects will be discussed with you by your medical provider and cosmetic coordinator.

Alternative cosmetic treatments for scalp stimulation include topical products, Keralase, PRP (Platelet Rich Plasma), and microneedling. If you are experiencing hair loss or thinning of the hair, there may be an underlying medical condition present, therefore it is important to consult with one of our providers prior to choosing which treatment course is the best for your individual needs.

Keravive™ may be combined with many other hair loss treatments in our office such as Keralase, PRP, microneedling and topical products. Many patients choose to undergo combination treatments in order to achieve the maximum aesthetic result.
